3. Free trial
- Every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial of the plan you choose.
- To start the trial you verify a payment card. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- If you do not cancel, your first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends, and then every month on the same day.
- If you cancel during the trial, your subscription ends at once and nothing is charged.
4. Introductory discount
- New customers get 90% off their first three monthly payments after the trial. From the fourth payment the regular price applies.
- If you return after a paid subscription has ended, you subscribe at the regular price.
5. VAT
All prices exclude VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout from your billing address and VAT number and is shown on every invoice:
- Customers in Cyprus pay Cyprus VAT (currently 19%).
- Businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number are not charged VAT; the invoice states that the reverse charge applies.
- Private customers in other EU countries (no VAT number) are charged VAT as the law requires.
Please give your correct billing address and, if you are a business, your VAT number. You can update both at any time in Manage Billing.
6. Payments and invoices
- We accept major debit and credit cards. Payments are processed by Stripe: your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- You receive an e-mail receipt for every payment, and all your invoices are available in Manage Billing (Subscription & Billing in DARITHMA).
7. Failed payments
- If a payment fails, it is tried again over the following days and we let you know. Meanwhile you keep working, with a reminder to update your card.
- If the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and your companies are locked until you subscribe again. Your data is kept (section 11).
8. Changing plan
- You can move to another plan at any time in Manage Billing. The change takes effect immediately.
- The difference is worked out pro rata for the rest of the month: an upgrade is charged straight away; a downgrade is credited to your account and used for your next payments.
- If the new plan allows fewer companies or users than you have, the extra ones are locked — not deleted — until you move to a larger plan.
9. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time in Manage Billing. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- During the free trial, the subscription ends at once and nothing is charged.
- After the trial, you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for. The subscription then ends and no further payments are taken.
10. Refunds
- A monthly payment covers the month that has started. It is not refunded when you cancel or move to a smaller plan during that month, unless the law requires otherwise. The free trial lets you try DARITHMA before you pay anything.
- If you believe you were charged by mistake, write to support@darithma.com. We will check it and refund any amount charged in error.
11. Your data after cancelling
- When a subscription ends, your companies are locked, not deleted. The company owner can still sign in and download a full backup of the company's data.
- Subscribe again at any time and you continue exactly where you left off.
- If you want your data deleted, write to us. Deletion follows clause 8 of the Terms of Use: normally within 30 days from our active systems and within 90 days from backups.
- We may also delete the data of a subscription that has ended, after telling you by e-mail at least 30 days before (clause 8.6 of the Terms of Use).
12. Price changes
If we change our prices, we will tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then.
13. Where DARITHMA fits, and who can sign up
DARITHMA is an accounting, invoicing and financial management system based on internationally recognised double-entry bookkeeping principles. It is designed primarily for businesses operating under the European Union's VAT-based taxation framework, and its accounting, invoicing, VAT, payroll and reporting functions are aligned with the accounting and taxation environment of Cyprus.
It is not designed for countries with substantially different indirect taxes, such as the United States, where state and local sales taxes apply instead of a national VAT. In other countries — including EU Member States other than Cyprus — country-specific tax returns, e-invoicing formats and statutory reports are not included unless we say so; please confirm with your accountant that DARITHMA meets your local requirements.
Online sign-up is open to customers with a billing address in the European Union. If you are elsewhere, contact us. DARITHMA may not be used by anyone subject to sanctions. (Clauses 14.3, 14.4 and 18 of the Terms of Use.)
14. Consumers
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. If you started using DARITHMA Cloud during that time, you pay only for the days after the free trial up to your withdrawal. To withdraw, write to support@darithma.com (a model form is in Annex D of the Terms of Use). Nothing in these terms limits your rights under EU and Cyprus consumer law (clauses 2.2 and 17 of the Terms of Use).
15. DARITHMA Desktop
DARITHMA Desktop is not sold online. Desktop licences are one-time licences agreed in writing after a personal demonstration (clause 5.5 of the Terms of Use). Request a demonstration.
16. Contact
